XcelCollege is a tool to help students organize and strengthen their college application — including a personal essay workspace, an activities list builder, a supplement essay tracker, a timeline, and a recommendation letter kit. It is an organizational and guidance tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Common Application organization, Common App®, or any specific college or university.
XcelCollege is designed to help you stay organized and think through your application more clearly. Using it does not guarantee admission to any school, a particular essay quality, or any specific outcome. College admissions decisions are made entirely by the schools you apply to, based on many factors outside of this tool's control.
You're responsible for keeping your sign-in email secure, since our sign-in method is based on email access. You agree to provide accurate information and to use the site for its intended purpose — organizing your own college application materials.
Anything you write in XcelCollege — your essays, activities list, brag sheets, and notes — belongs to you. We don't claim ownership over anything you write, and we don't use your written content for anything other than displaying it back to you and, where applicable, showing anonymized aggregate progress statistics to the site administrator (not your actual written content).
Some features may require a paid plan (monthly subscription or one-time payment), once payments are enabled. Pricing will be shown clearly before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor, under their own terms. Refund and cancellation details will be posted here once payment plans are active.
At our discretion, some accounts may be granted free access to paid features (for example, through promotions or giveaways). This access can be granted or revoked by the site administrator at any time.
Don't use XcelCollege to share content that isn't yours to share, to try to access another student's account or data, or to disrupt the service for other users.
Many users of this site are high school students, some of whom are under 18. If you are under 18, we recommend reviewing these terms with a parent or guardian before creating an account.
XcelCollege is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages or losses arising from your use of the site, including issues with saved data, missed deadlines, or application outcomes. You're strongly encouraged to keep your own copies of anything critical (essays, deadlines) outside of this tool as well.
We may update these terms as the site develops. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent change.
Questions about these terms can be sent to the contact email listed on the XcelCollege site.
